Group Music Programs

Music is at the heart of the Conservatory of Performing Arts. We place a strong emphasis on our music programs for all levels – beginners to advanced players – and all ages – newborns to seniors. Get practical, hands-on learning across a variety of instruments and music genres. Whether you’re interested in Scottish bagpipes or classical violin, there’s a class to ignite your passion!

Choose Your Musical Adventure

Discover the joy of music through a short one-day workshop or masterclass or keep playing in yearlong ensembles and choirs. Performances are optional in some classes and others focus purely on the joy of making music.

Some programs may require prior learning or basic playing skills on an instrument. You'll find this detailed in each course description.

Plus, if a group class isn’t available for your instrument or skill level, private lesson opportunities are always an option. The Converatory is home to some of the most talented musicans in Regina!

What Are Some Group Music Programs?

Did you know?

One of the best ways to develop your singing voice is to be part of a choir? Even before taking private lessons in voice (which usually starts at age 10), singers in a choir learn basic breath control and tone matching.

Musicianship is more than just music theory? Build important ensemble playing skills and learn music theory fundamentals, music history and new genres of music. These programs are a perfect supplement to private lessons or school band programs.

You do NOT need to be Scottish to love bagpipes! Scottish Piping and Drumming is a unique and culturally rich musical style performed around the world and includes the Conservatory Pipe Band, beginner Scottish bagpipes and drums, and various courses for adults.
