Audio Art Basics course

AIS2 is offering an Audio Art Basics course, which begins on the morning of June 14 and runs five days to the 19th, 10am-noon (5 days, excluding Sunday, June 17). The course content is being presented by five of Canada’s leading audio artists & composers.

The class will be of interest to arts and music students, professional artists, media artists and musicians – all of whom would like to have further exposure to audio art ideas, principles and histories, including practical methods in sound acquisition, audio production and compositional strategies. No previous experience in audio is necessary.

We will have sound recording equipment and audio mix/posting studios available for this program, plus you are encouraged to bring your own equipment if it is light and portable (portable audio recorders, notebooks, etc.).

Course registration fee: $100, $50 students, payable at the beginning of the first class (cheque please). Please arrive at Room ED179, 9:45am Thursday, June 14 to register.
